Direct deposit is cheaper and more efficient than wire transfer. Direct deposits are limited to the currency of the bank's local system. In other words, you will only be able to pay in USD within the United States via the ACH system. It is also possible to receive EUR in Europe through in Europe via the SEPA process, and GBP inside the United Kingdom via the BACS system as well as CAD in Canada using Canada's EFT system. USD cannot be received via direct deposits outside of the United States, and the systems for non-USD currencies are also exclusive to their bank system for the currency of their respective. Direct deposit transactions are processed in the overnight. Direct deposits outside of the US are subject to the cost of conversion. The amount depends on the transaction, a wire transfer may be the better option.

The wire transfer will be fast-tracked into the client account. The client is charged a flat fee for each wire transfer. Clients choose to receive wires when they want to receive a currency which isn't the local currency. In the case of a client is in the United Kingdom and would like to be able to transfer USD and the USD needs to be wired into the bank account of the United Kingdom. Wire transfers are also required when 's bank does not have an office in the nation of the client.

Some countries have two currencies. For example, Switzerland has CHF and Sweden has SEK. And they each have EUR. Because EUR is part of the SEPA payment system, EUR can be directly deposit into the client's accounts. The bank however is not a local presence in Switzerland or Sweden. Without a banking presence in those countries, can only wire CHF as well as SEK.
