"The majority of my career filled with lots of enjoyable moments," starts Amanda Northcutt who is the CEO and founder of Level Up Creators. "My career path is extremely unsteady and non-linear. But that tends to be common for most people. We tend to end up at the exact spot we're meant to be to be if we're intentional and strategic."
Family jokes that she never spoke until my brother went to university. "My brother is a very well-known attorney, yet his practice filled up the majority of space within the house. He started college when I was just 14 years old and about to enter the high school. It was at this point that I came into my own as that airspace was readily available within the home."
Amanda's first job was at an online shoe shop. "Everyone was convinced that I would not be successful due to my shyness. I totally emerged from my shell and began selling shoes with aplomb which led to record sales all over the country. I was awestruck! I was enthralled by business around the age of 16 which is why I decided from the beginning that this was the path I'd like to take."
Later on, Amanda attended university and became acquainted with a student who was starting a website and was looking for someone to sell advertising on the site. "This was back in 2005 in the year 2005 when the sale of online ads was similar to banner ads. It was as if you were selling air! I heard the word "no frequently and was able to get past any apprehension of presenting myself to other people quickly," she recalls.

"I learned my craft by being thrown in the middle of the ocean," she continues. "I made the transition from a small sales job and grew it into a bigger selling position with a tiny business called TexAgs.com and worked there for over a decade. That's where I made the most discoveries about the business." She figured out the membership model and recurring revenue. It also adds value, increasing LTV, and the sale of sponsorships.
"It's not just a small and quaint site anymore. It's the biggest college fan site in the world. This was my second visit there, and it was absolutely enjoyable." She smiles. "I learnt how to run and supervise the people. It was then that I learned about the model of membership and continuing revenue. The year was 2005. The next year I'll have been working in this field for more than two decades. Crazy how time flies!"
It attracted thousands of clients who pay $13 per month for details about Texas A&M University sports teams. "We are also breaking the code to move from banner advertisements to sponsorships (brand agreements in the modern sense). Businesses were trying to get in touch with our readers and we gave the access of very specific information that could be tracked and helped the companies," she says.
Amanda employed the same method in the beginning of Northcutt Media, using the modeling of sponsorship they created at TexAgs Then they applied the model and applied it to all the websites across the country. "That was the first time I had an enterprise when I was 22 years old. The company allowed us to travel frequently and other such activities."
However, a couple of years afterwards her health began to suffer. "I required some time off and also, I had change my lifestyle structure," - Amanda needed to change the balance of priorities in her life. It was primarily about her husband's health, along with her infant son.
Amanda has begun to publish her health journey with the world and is planning to continue doing so. Amanda is aware that those who have situations that are stressful are at a higher risk of being suffering from an auto-immune condition or similar. "The more I am vulnerable, the more I am competent to conduct myself in this manner," she says. "Every time I say something concerning my experience, somebody not familiar with me comes in and texts me asking 'Hey, can we talk? This is amazing."
Amanda altered the way things were done. "I needed to be a mother. It was my duty to take on the role of a woman who had the responsibility of my health. I also was also required to act as a consultant." To return to work She and her husband sold their business partner from Member Up and took it on, and made it run as a consulting company.
"I enjoyed my time working with members to run their own businesses that encompassed a wide range of topics. This was something that people do not even think about until they're out in the world and know there's a niche to suit every type of interest as well as people on the internet looking to purchase what you offer." After a long time in the industry of membership her focus was changing to executive job at various SaaS organizations around the globe.
As part of this new, more balanced way of life, Amanda reduced her work to 20-30 hours a week. Amanda set out to be "extraordinarily influential" at each of the companies she worked for. Amanda quit Silicon Valley at the end of 2022, to found Level Up Creators: "I had a goal to transfer what I've learned from the B2B marketplace, particularly the SaaS market, to pass information to creators specifically women.
"I'm really interested in helping women to build wealth generation cycles and apply their skills through providing enormous worth to their communities of followers and get paid in kind."

So, what exactly is Level Up Creators actually do? "We're looking to optimize the effect of our efforts and increase income for female creators specifically. We're sure that we're the most experienced team of entrepreneurs in the world," she says.
They assist people in determining where they are in their journey, the direction they're taking and what's stopping their progression from occurring. They then devise strategies to eliminate those obstacles to help you get where you'd like to go. "Our ideal situation is when you've gathered followers around one particular topic that is crucial - and you have more than 50,000 users on social media and/or more than 2,000 email users."
"When you come to us, I'll probably be asking you around a hundred questions first," says Amanda. "I'm constantly seeking out information before I can be understood." She collects both qualitative and quantitative information about her creator so that she help them make their choices.
"We are looking to aid experts on the subject create a complete product line. The first thing we want is a lead magnet and an educational course, possibly the 3-part masterclass or similar Then we could develop a recurring revenue product. It could be a price of $49 or $179, or an annual membership for $249."

She assists people to improve their thinking skills. "Oftentimes the experts in their field creators hesitate to business with corporations or to create products that ask that their followers purchase their products. I'm here to aid creators in understanding that they're in an incredible position to provide more value than what could be delivered by social media no cost.
"We want to be respected, power relationship, love, and respect - the basic desires of our lives," she continues. "We feel we're connected with the artists we admire. We know so much about their life and desire to emulate them." Amanda thinks that if artists can provide opportunities for us to be more similar to the creators, then there's a possibility for them to market products that can assist followers in achieving their goals which creates "a positive cycle of value".
"We have a greater respect for the people we collaborate with than do the huge global legacy brands since we're speaking to a individual and not only an image. Our first goal is to say, "It's fine to promote your product - since consumers want to purchase what they can get.' We don't do icky marketing or sales practices, and we don't work with people who are not offering genuine value to their community. It's like tables stakes."
The future and the death of brands that have existed for many years
"I'm very happy to be the position of helping creators in a different way, and also increasing our efforts for women,"" Amanda muses. It's professional, however we're working toward mirroring the work of our clients, as well as creating a business that is a creator first one of our own." Amanda summarizes the situation in the sense that they're working on teaching creators how to become the CEOs of their companies and efficiently run their businesses.
"We are developing some amazing product!" she exclaims. The team will launch its Level Up Creators School on 1 March 2024. It is a subscription-based business training for creators. "We'll share our experience and know-how to offer the best training, community, instruments, and high-touch assistance to help creators reach their next big income milestone one of which will be for many creators: $50,000 million in revenue. We'll also be using the Fastest Path To 50 framework to help people reach this goal. What a great idea!"
For a final thought about the overall business, Amanda concludes: "The current trend is to create a direct-to consumer model where creators have the most control in regards to consumer spending and content curation. It's crazy the level of loyalty that people feel for the creators they admire."
Amanda says that millennials and Gen Xers do not rely on large legacy brands for updates "These major cable companies are dinosaurs! You can choose to get onto the train, or you're likely to go extinct."
"I am deciding to give my chance" This is the path to go in the coming years. My company was created to propel that future into realisation and assist people to become wildly prosperous. I'd like to see money allocated to entrepreneurs, instead of huge corporations. It's like, 'All right, let another take over! Now is the time to be a content creator!" she says with a smile.
