Get involved with our video. Read on to see the process we used to build our website.
Capturing quality content
To start the process, we reached out the members of our global community creative directors in the Netherlands film makers in the UK animators in Australia as well as NGO activists in Nigeria in order to name a few.
Then, we invited them to take their smartphones, cameras and computers to respond to three questions regarding this year's events:
- What is your objective over the next year?
- What is inspiring you this new year?
- What are the biggest obstacles you're expecting to face for 2023?
The reactions of their fans revealed the strength of community including this masterpiece directed by the creator, as well as Soursop co-founder Ravi Amaratunga Hitchcock...
"In the individual streams, we may restrict ourselves. But when we are working together, we can accomplish incredible, massive, gigantic things."
...and the limitless possibilities of storytelling. The following quote is from Staff Pick filmmaker Faith Briggs.
"I am not content with making up stories that are amazing. I'd rather tell tales that are important."
The post process is made easier
After editing all of the submissions to video We knew that we wanted each part of the film to be able to stand by itself. We came up with Supercuts which feature our most popular responses to the queries mentioned above.
In order to get ready to create interactivity, the team came up with a few principles to change the footage from sizzles to raw footage into an experience that is complete.
- Create an interactive component within the first ten second
- Set a timer for 15-20 -:20 between each hotspot
Think of an interactivity experience
"Making an interactive video can add value" says Jen Mendler, a Senior Designer at . "Our team performed all the heavy lifting, providing some interesting insights on the next year We followed up with a video experience that allows viewers to be in control. The choice is yours to 2023."
