Hamburg-based tattoo artist and illustrator Ines Hassler who is also known by her stage name of Frau Ines lives her life by her talent and creativity and also her determination and commitment to the community of artists in Hamburg.

"Creative exchange, communicating and the feeling that you are part of a community are essential for me and that have had an enormous impact on my professional development," says Ines. The Hamburg location Hamburg is a place where creativity is cultivated by Ines together with her local group of artists: Hey Du Hey Du. It is an art store and tattoo studio. Also, Live Art Club is their "cheerful colorful, energetic" drawing classes. "I would not be in the situation I am in if were not open to possibilities that Hamburg and its inhabitants can offer me over the last few years,"" Ines says.

Artist in full-time since the age of just a few years old, Ines studied a variety of disciplines related to art while at the university before settling down on what seemed to be the right choice for her: creating. "But after a short period of years of working for agencies," she says, "I began to realize that I was much more committed to my work in my spare time, rather than being employed by large companies and customers. That's why at one point I made the decision to start my own venture and be a full-time artist in the art world."

The use of creative diversity as a motivational tool

"The variety of my day-to-day activities keeps me motivated and enthralled" she declares. "The hardest aspect for me is working on the same task over and over. I like switching between tasks, and working in different groups while striving to achieve the same objectives. My job feels like something I can do for fun."

"But the truth is, it's usually difficult," she acknowledges, "especially during times of epidemics or when multiple deadlines for various parties come together. It can become a real source of stress , and sometimes overly. My job is to maintain a healthy balance."

"In all of it the world, self-awareness always wins," Ines adds. "Sometimes it's difficult in my case to acknowledge the ability to look at my job. But for me I consider that it's more than just work, it's an obsession."
