"Vancouver can boast breathtaking scenery, and so each day I was free, and I attempted to get away in mountainous terrain" Frauke says. "I originally was looking to record the trip with my mobile camera and put my pictures via the web for sharing with my fellow travelers. I purchased cameras a few years ago and am now are where I am."

She now hikes and photographs her way across the mountains of the globe. She shares the adventures she has taken via her Facebook and Instagram fans. The purpose of this campaign is to invite viewers into the natural world.

While not everybody can manage long walks in mountainous terrain, Frauke's goal is for her photography to provide viewers with the very best thing. "I strive to draw the viewer in to the pictures so that them can feel as if they're with me in that very instant," she says.

Frauke believes that by engaging viewers in her travels and revealing to them the beauty and rawness of nature Frauke's images are more likely to be a lasting impact. "If 10 people see my work and think that they want to get in touch with the natural world and help protect our planet more urgently and in the near future', it's an accomplishment," Frauke says. "It is the best of my work which is aligned with where my heart is."
