We sat down with three Black customers to talk about their own personal experiences, the mentors that led the way to get where they're and their dreams and hopes in shaping the future of our generation.
Karl Ferguson Jr.
Karl believes in the idea that your work is to nurture your passion to the point that it will transform into your life. Karl is successful in doing this through his work and love to photograph portraits. One glance at the website will leave you stunned at the number of celebrities he's captured in the world of entertainment. Karl's online presence has allowed the artist to showcase his work for many clients at a glance. "One top choices is the speed that I can drag and drop pictures, and rearrange them at a moment's need," Karl says.
Social networking has contributed to the popularity of photography of Karl. Discussions among fellow Black photographers allows him to experience the camaraderie that is a element of photography. It is an area that is often isolated in today's climate. Karl hopes to carry the experience on to his professional work, as well as establish a similar community for the new photographers working on the front lines. "Paying it forward involves the fact that I'm available," Karl says. If asked what advice could he have to say about the younger version of himself someone who's only just started his photography journey the advice he gives is as follows: "Don't get so intense that you stop making. Being relaxed and having fun while taking part in the process could be one of the most enjoyable things to take as a photographer."

Black In Corporate
Social Media Consultant and Ambassador Candace Marie is the founder of Black In Corporate Black In Corporate, a group which is a voice for Black employees at work. The idea for Black In Corporate was born due to her personal experience dealing with workplaces in which racism is an issue which has made it hard to Black employees to reach their goals. "While Black In Corporate was result of my personal private experiences," Candace says, "a key reason behind the creation of the nonprofit was the fact that I realized that there were many Black individuals in my circle who have had experiences like my own, but not as my experiences."
One of the components Black In Corporate is based on is The virtual Mentorship Program and provides Black professionals with access to opportunities, tools and resources. The site of Black In Corporate has played an essential role in publicizing the benefits of the program to the intended audience. "While the media and social media have been the main driving factors for visitors, the stunning design as well as the simplicity of navigation ensure that our users are engaged and keep coming back," Candace says about the impact of their website.
