"Vancouver is surrounded by some amazing landscapes. Therefore, every single day trying to escape to the mountains" Frauke says. "I initially just wanted to document the experience with my mobile camera and uploaded my photos on the internet to share them with my friends. I bought a DSLR after a few years and now, where I am."

She now hikes and photographs her way across mountains throughout the world. She shares her travels via her friends on social media. Inviting viewers to experience nature

Though not everyone can take long trips into the hills, Frauke's aim is to offer viewers the most amazing experience. "I try to pull viewers into my images to make them can feel as if they're alongside me at that exact instant," she says.

Frauke hopes that , by inviting viewers to her journeys and revealing to them the raw beauty of the wild world, her images are more likely to have an lasting effect. "If you see 10 people looking at my artwork and decide"hey, I'd love to be in touch to nature and preserve this planet more urgently this is an achievement," Frauke says. "It is the best thing to align with the place where my heart is."
