Heart of a Hero: Dave Jacobson

In today's Heart of a Hero, we're going to introduce you to Dave Jacobson, a financial coach located in Maple Grove Minnesota.

Dave owns two businesses that which he manages !

First, Dave helps financial coaches to build confidence and create business that are successful.

Through his business venture, Dave helps couples gain the financial freedom they desire.

In this piece we'll show you how the program has helped Dave to free up his time so he can think and expand his business to a greater extent than he ever thought possible!

  Prior to  

Dave's principal focus is coaching financial coaches. However, his coaching business started by an accident.

Ten years back, Dave was a struggling financial coach when he started a mastermind group.

This mastermind group started to grow as other struggling financial advisors heard of the benefits it brought to everyone involved.

Dave started taking notes and recording the meetings of the mastermind group.

Then he used the recordings to create guides for different scenarios such as dealing with customers or marketing , which could be shared with his customers.

Dave wanted to share the guides on YouTube, but prior to  sharing PDFs or videos online could be a major issue!

Dave recalls "We played with Dropbox, I tried emailing it out, we even attempted zip drives! There were hundreds of applications. The mess was overwhelming!"

Dave was plagued by problems communicating with members before because he constantly had to explain where different guides and modules were online.

As well as the difficulties with communication, Dave was paying for the integration of many different technology.

Dave declares, "I was juggling about 14 different systems, and I was trying to master them. I used an email marketing program as well as an online payment system, and I had to load various websites, or videos, or whatever are you. Put it all in one place ."

Before that, Dave had a long hours unable to deal with all the details of his company.

The lack of thinking stopped him from playing and playing the game he wanted to!

In essence it was that he was in the business, not on the commercial side.

The first item he created was a resource library.

Due to the fact that Dave is an obsessive perfectionist, it took him quite a long time to get his website up and running after which, when he finally launched, he was almost dissatisfied with how simple it was to complete his first sale.

Dave states, "I had been trying to create this huge scheme of what the product was supposed to be , and I wanted it been a big, extravagant thing. The very first sales I made ended up being a test!"

After Dave got everything in order and could reduce the amount of time he spent coaching and was able to break through the limits on what he thought could be possible within his company!

Since Dave was able to take advantage of all the extra time he was able to build more and serve his clients better!

  It Saves You So Much Time!

  "The greatest positive thing that has happened to my firm is the structure and process it brought to it. It was streamlined and simpler. Being able to place my work, my information and be able to deliver it and communicate it efficiently has saved me a lot of time. !"

Dave has two favorite aspects that he enjoys . The first is how simple it is to upload and store videos. In the past , not only did Dave must upload the video onto a website such as YouTube or Wistia He also needed find a way to make it available to only his friends could view it.

This saves him a full step!

Dave is also a fan of the way that all the parts of sync up together.
