What would you say about the style you prefer?

It's somewhere between stylized and realistic illustration. I rely on a variety of colors that are muted and watery and prefer to use natural, fluid shapes. My "style" as an illustrator is heavily determined by my color palette and what subject matter I actually choose to paint, and not necessarily the way the painting is done. I was previously working with a more linear approach, however I've changed to a more loose and more painterly approach.

What's the secret for creating fantasy art illustrations?

Then I'll go over them again until it appears to be closest to what I see it in my head (within reason, otherwise I'd be able to spend months working on one painting). I strive to challenge my ideas and not settle for just a poor illustration. I'd rather spend a lot of time to get the dreamy illustration perfect than rush through it.

What are the best places to show the fantasy drawings you've created?

I'll be part of the coming "Oceans and Currents" exhibition in Gallery Nucleus in July! While you wait I'm through Instagram. Prints are available for sale on my store online Bandcamp if anyone would be in the market!

And I also have a Youtube and Bandcamp to those who are interested in the music I'm releasing, as I will be releasing new songs soon.

The Background of Brigitte

I received my degree at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I am currently employed in the industry of entertainment arts as an illustrator and concept artist. Also, I have a ongoing innovative project known as Pearl Farm that I draw drawings. I also write and sing original songs.

Illustrations for the article are taken of my own project Pearl Farm. This is my story that I wrote that follows a travel troubadour named Vinny as well as her pet Ray Hubble while they travel their way across a globe known as the Lofty Coastline.
