Our Vice President for People & Culture, Louise Cherry Barber has sat in (virtually) to speak with Danica about her honors and time at .

Read on for an abbreviated version of the interview. Danica:

Louise Cherry Barber: Danica, you are our Springie Award Winner for our 3rd quarter of 2023! Tell me, what it means for you to receive the Springie Award here at ?

Danica Larsen:It it was truly nice, like, really heartwarming to realize that I incorporate a large portion of me -- my interesting personality -- into my work every day. And it was nice to see that other people had seen it, and that it was welcomed and appreciated positively and it wasn't just for achieving a specific number, which is previously how I might have been recognized and other workplaces that I've been to, but because of the person that I am as well as the achievements that I've achieved in addition to a specific number. It was very nice to be recognized as an individual. It was incredibly touching.

Louise Cherry Barber: It's amazing and earned. And one thing I am fascinated by is to hear from you about your top moments, that is, the ones you heard about. you first heard about it, and more specifically working on the project you completed on the benchmarking program was praised by a few individuals. Can you tell us something about this?

Danica Larsen:Yes that's right, I've put in so much work, like I'm so excited to have it recognized. I think I was somewhat surprised to see the benchmarking initiative was among the initiatives that was called out as a result of the fact that it's in the beginning stages and there's a lot more work to be done. So I'm thrilled that everyone is excited about the initiative. Since it's likely to bring many benefits, I truly hope that it will bring so many benefits, not only for us as a business as well, but also for our customers, our sellers, and our sellers, too. And we'll help in an ideal world give the company some insight on the best ways to grow in the long term, what we're seeing works well in the long run as a successful idea. That's why seeing it announced in the initial phase of, you know, similar to beta-stages was amazing, as it means that other people see the value too.

Louise Cherry Barber: We have recently revised our corporate values to include: Be Different Learn to understand and Act With Urgency. I'm curious about your thoughts on the updated values.

Danica Larsen: What they encompass is doing what's right as well as understanding what doing the right thing means. That means actually researching, delving into the issue, then acting fast and quickly before making a final decision. It's a fact that I stand in that daily... Also, when I look around at the others in on the Support Team and the Support Team, I mean, that they share the same values with our customers, as well as with our buyers each day. They're at the forefront in the lead, on the front line, seeking understanding and acting quickly, because that's the only way to do those things. We fall apart as an organization, and nobody can continue to work with us.

Louise Cherry Barber:What tips would you give to those who are in the same situation ? Who would like to live these values? Do you have any advice about how you can make them come to life?

Danica Larsen: I can only -- you know, I can only speak from my perspective. But I think the key factor is to pay attention as long as possible. If you're dealing with different accounts, the businesses, the sellers, everybody whom we're working with being aware of their needs and the real reason behind their need, this determines what we need to be doing and how we ought to act. And that's the "seeking understanding" and achieve it without being attentive. This is my first tip Listen to the people around you.
