An illustrator for books, Soosh, talks about her fairytale illustrations.
When I was searching for Soosh to begin this article thoroughly, I came across her YouTube videos. If you've seen her work, you'll know that it seems as if a magical fairytale was reborn. By also adding her voice in the form of tales, she creates it a full-rounded magical experience in which her fairytale characters come to life. Read on, but be sure you check out her YouTube channel and sip a cup of hot tea, and get ready to enjoy a fairytale-themed night.
We spoke to Soosh what she believes is the most important thing for capturing those small details of life every day through her art
"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was born and raised by the people. I identify myself with no religious, ethnic, or national background or other. I am spending my life looking at people, myself and others and analyzing the details of everything. It's a tricky path, that's why I've not chosen it in advance and yet I'm in it. If it's traditional art education I'm not a fan of any.

Although I am aware that there are various styles of drawing and painting that we call styles, I've never really given any thought to the type or style I'm drawing would fit into. If I tried for the right words for the style, I would say it's something like a "fairytale realism" type of style. But speaking frankly, no style.
The key to success, according to me, is to see with your heart as much as you can with your eyes. It may take some practice to be able to see the little aspects, as with every other skill. You need to become still for a while and very much present in your present. Pay attention. Pay attention, but not too much.
My primary focus has always been people. The way they express themselves and mimicry of their actions, their gestures kind acts, as well as their weaknesses - all of it's so intriguing and interesting for me. After that, it's an issue of time, some pencils, as well as a watercolour pen to dig into and bring life to those daily pictures in a paper."
