Can you elaborate on what you do at ?
In our Community team, we manage The Hero Community and other community -driven programmes as well as sources. Our team's vision is to help connect clients across the world and empower our Heroes to be successful entrepreneurs by utilizing community-based programs and resources.
What's a particular professional achievement you're particularly proud of?
How has your cultural background influenced your work in technology?
I think that's something that I'm trying to learn more about my own self.
Do you celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and if so what do they mean to you?
It's not really AAPI Heritage Month, but growing up I celebrated and took part in Korean celebrations of culture and heritage including festivals and various other events. Like many other people, I've come to recognize just the importance of these celebrations and events of the culture help us understand our identity and belonging.
Can you describe any event or individual that you have encountered in AAPI history that is meaningful for you?
The most meaningful would have to be my parents, along with the numerous families of immigrants who retreated themselves in search of more opportunities in other countries. It's fascinating to look at the challenges that the previous generation of AAPI community. In addition, I would like to affirm that I'll never forget what an adventure Linsanity was...so shout-out for Jeremy Lin!
How do you take part within the AAPI community?
I generally seek community in the spaces in which I am spending the majority of my time. Therefore, in my college years I took part quite a bit with KSA (the Korean Students Association) in addition to previous jobs I've taken part in various AAPI specifically-focused ERGs.
What are the things you enjoy about working at ?
My favorite part of working at is definitely the team and people that I've the privilege of working with. I truly appreciate the welcoming and encouraging atmosphere created, and the enthusiasm that is evident about our products as well as our customers is really inspiring to be part of.
