A watercolor teacher - The CreativeMindClass Blog
"You'll often hear me repeat variations of this phrase as I teach: we go from big to small -meaning bigger brush to small brush, tight to loose and dark to light. It is important to start with excitement and joy by following a loose outline but allow the piece to talk back to you where it's telling you."
Watercolor painting tips:
- Go from big to a smaller brush
- Change between tight and loose moves
- From the light colors to the dark ones.
My personal background
"I was the quiet kid who sat at the middle of the class, with her eyes buried in a sketchbook. There hasn't been much change since. At one point I had a creative burnout, but becoming a mom called me back to watercolor painting. I rediscovered myself through combining my art and spiritual practice, and created "Watercolor Devo's." They inspired me to begin being a creative educator and full time artist."

What would you say about your watercolor style?
"I am unable to resist the vibrant, fun or pink. The vintage vibe or visual tension is often my focus as I'm working. However, most importantly, I like to bring the best of watercolor to the page--relishing in vibrant bleeding and bold shades."
